I began doing yoga during my college years when it offered an antidote to all-nighters, midterm exam stress, and hours sitting at a computer. Since then, yoga has helped me manage TMJ and headaches, have two healthy, joyous pregnancies and births, cope during the many sleepless nights to follow, and balance my life and my family’s. It’s been an elixir of joy, hope, and light in my life and I am committed to sharing this gift with my students.

After 10 years as a practitioner of yoga, I decided to earn my 200 hour teaching certificate with Lillah Schwartz at Lighten Up Yoga in Asheville, NC where I worked as office manager before my son was born. Since then, I have studied with many teachers, most recently attending an upper back, neck, and shoulders workshop with Elise Miller and a prenatal teacher training with Stephanie Keach of Asheville Yoga Center. I have worked with a range of clients teaching prenatal yoga, yoga for women’s fertility, restorative yoga, and kids yoga.

When I’m not doing or teaching yoga, you might find me in my garden, hiking the trails of WNC, or camping and boating at Lake James with my kids and husband.
